Questions about price/payment:
How did you set the fixed price?
Together with IKEA, we have worked our way through a list of almost 5,000 furniture/furniture parts with estimated assembly times. The list comes from IKEA globally and is used by several other assembly partners in other countries. Therefore, we feel confident that the minutes reflect the time it takes to assemble the furniture, given that you have previous assembly experience with IKEA furniture.
What is the minute price for IKEA Direct (set price)?
The minute price depends on whether you are a private trader or a light entrepreneur. We hope that the minute price will motivate you to take on IKEA Direct tasks and can proudly say that almost all of our taskers will get a better minute price than they have if they are paid by the hour today.
There will be a new way of working where the duration is already calculated. In other words, you do not have to discuss with the customer when the order (and pricing) is underestimated. The price is also the same for all IKEA customers, which we think is a fair deal.
We will still reserve hours in your calendar for you to carry out the task, but this will always be rounded up to the nearest full hour, even if the task takes less time to complete.
What is the starting price for IKEA Direct tasks?
The starting price is 41 euros (for you as a tasker). This price is based on what a tasker has as travel expenses on a Luado task (on average). We understand that certain tasks will have higher expenses, but others will cost less. We experience that the starting price is fair for both the customer and the tasker. The starting price also includes basic material costs (up to 7,25 euros) and recycling of cardboard after the job is completed.
I am not satisfied with the payment. What do I do?
If you are a tasker who otherwise operates with an hourly price of 36 euros, you will have a higher minute price with IKEA Direct. If you are one of the few taskers who had an hourly price of 44 euros, you will have a lower price per minute for IKEA tasks.
As mentioned in point 1, the price will be calculated from the minutes it takes to assemble the specific IKEA furniture. We know that certain tasks will be more efficient than others, and it will important to look at the overall picture of your bookings.
What do I do if the customer wants extra help?
No problem! We can easily create a new job based on your preferences. Just let us know start time, duration and type of job - then we will do the rest.
Questions about job changes:
How do I change the time at work?
For IKEA Direct tasks, we assume (as always) that you have your calendar up to date, and that you can work at the time you are matched with. Should any unforeseen events arise (both for the customer and you), the job needs to be cancelled in order for IKEA to rebook the job.
Why have I been told that the job has been moved to a new time?
We have enabled IKEA Customer Service to change the time on tasks if there are delivery delays or other problems on IKEA's part that make it impossible to carry out assembly at the planned time. You will always receive a message about this as the new time does not necessarily match the time you have in your calendar.
What happens if I cancel?
If you cancel the task the customer will receive a notification. We will try to find a new match for the customer within the same time window. If we cannot find a new match, IKEA has to contact the customer and find a new time with another tasker.
What if I do more than what is in the product list?
You must only do what is described in the product list as this is what you will be paid for. If the customer wants to install other furniture, IKEA has the option to update the product list so that the price is updated with you (before the job begins).
In phase 2, we will add the possibility that you can charge for extra work that is outside the product list. For example; hanging up pictures, repairing a squeaky chair or recycling the old sofa. As of now, it will not be possible to offer these additional services on IKEA Direct tasks, but if you need us to create a new task after agreement with the customer, just contact us.
What do we do with cabinets that need special adaptation?
IKEA will only use IKEA Direct for tasks that do not require special adaption. If the customer would like to have the furniture assembled in a special way, we recommend that they order by the hour via Luado.fi.
PS! As a general rule, anything that is not in the user manual will be a special adaptation.
Questions about how to be assigned to an IKEA Direct task:
How do you become a "recommended tasker"?
Being recommended as a tasker is not only about the strength of your profile, but also whether you live close to the customer or not. We know that tasks with a shorter journey are also more attractive to you as a tasker, and therefore we choose to emphasize this in the matching. In short, you must: 1) Live close to the customer. 2) Have experience from previous Luado jobs with requested service. 3) Have the highest profile strength compared to the others in your area.
How do I get an IKEA Direct task?
To receive an IKEA Direct task, you must be a recommended tasker by the time the customer wants help. This means that your calendar should be updated with the correct dates, but also the number of hours available. For example, if you are free on Thursday from 5-7pm, but can work 5-9pm, you may lose a 4-hour evening task. We recommend that you go into your calendar as often as you can to update!
